NIDA is proud to host this symposium and master-class on Practice as Research with guest Professor Mary Luckhurst.
Professor Luckhurst is a key collaborator in a Higher Education Academy (HEA) project in the UK between York, Leeds, and Bristol universities and the conservatoire training schools, RADA, Central School of Speech and Drama, and Manchester Metropolitan investigating how collaborative teaching and research strategies can enhance learning environments.
Key collaborators on the HEA project include Kevin Spacey, Bella Merlin, Geof Colman (Head of Acting, Central) and the National Theatre.
Professor Luckhurst will present a paper on the HEA project, and address some of the commonly agreed challenges facing us all in Practice as Research.
She will then lead a master-class on the topic which will be followed by a round-table discussion amongst participants and guests.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided for participants.
