Applications are invited for appointment to this position, which will be offered on a full-time tenurable basis, with the successful appointee being required to take up duty at the beginning of Semester 2, 2008.
The School of Visual & Performing Arts is housed in modern, spacious, well-equipped facilities conducive to the presentation of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in contemporary music, theatre and visual arts. The School offers a theatre major within the Bachelor of Contemporary Arts as well as honours and postgraduate studies in theatre. The School encourages cross-disciplinary studies between all three disciplines as a way of enriching the major study stream.
The position will involve teaching in theatre performance units offered by the School within the theatre discipline. Integral to the position is the requirement to teach and undertake research in theatre. The successful applicant may be required to contribute to other teaching streams, depending on his/her area of expertise. The appointee will be required to make significant contribution to research in his/her area of expertise and interest.
Appointment at Academic Level A will have a total remuneration package of up to $73,648 per annum (comprising salary within the range $47,118 - $62,947 per annum plus 17% superannuation with the option of an additional 3% salary loading in exchange for 14% instead of 17% superannuation). Appointment at Academic Level B will have a total remuneration package of up to $91,206 per annum (comprising salary within the range $66,113 - $77,954 per annum plus 17% superannuation with the option of an additional 3% salary loading in exchange for 14% instead of 17% superannuation).
