Teaching Fellowships at Victoria University, Wellington

Applications are invited for two fixed-term Teaching Fellow positions in the Theatre programme, to replace staff members on leave. The positions will run from 1 February to 30 November 2010.

Teaching Fellowships: two fixed-term positions


The successful candidate for the first position will be well-equipped to take over the core Honours course in Drama and Theory (full year), to convene a production-oriented 300-level course in the first trimester, which culminates in a full production, and to teach Dramaturgy of the Avant-garde (200-/300-level) in the second trimester.

The second position is for a specialist in Elizabethan & Jacobean theatre. The successful candidate will, in the first trimester, convene a 300-level course focusing on this period, which includes a small-scale production, and in the second trimester will contribute lectures on Elizabethan & Jacobean dramaturgy and (Neo-)Classical theatre to 100- and 200-level core papers.

The successful applicants will have a postgraduate qualification in theatre or a related area, and practical theatre experience. Tertiary teaching experience would be an advantage.
