A team of researchers from UQ (Stephen Carleton), Flinders U (Chris Hay) and Charles Darwin U (Adelle Sefton-Rowston) are keen to take applications for a postdoc research fellow to join the ARC Discovery Project Re-Mapping the Lost Literary Capital: Darwin/Larrakia Nation

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary, multi-institutional team on a project that repositions Darwin in Australia's national literary landscape. The successful candidate will work closely with research assistants at the AustLit and AusStage digital databases to identify, augment, and analyse data related to the city of Darwin/Larrakia Nation and its literary and performative representations since the colonial era. They will also contribute to a range of public-facing outcomes, including a guided audio literary walking tour, a series of public lectures, conference presentations, library exhibitions, and an edited collection of essays aimed at educators and a broad literary readership. The broader project brings together a rich archive of novels, plays, short stories, poems, and genre fiction spanning from Federation to the present, with the aim of restoring Darwin’s place in the national literary imagination.
