First Nations Performing Arts and Wellbeing

Join us for the Healing Stories Symposium to explore how performing arts can strengthen health and wellbeing in First Nations Communities

Presented by the University of Melbourne and ILBIJERRI Theatre Company
, Healing Stories brings together performing artists, community workers, and scholars for 2-days of energetic, joyful performance, poetry, and yarning.

The event features performances of THE SCORE and GOODBYE AUNTY FLO from ILBIJERRI's Social Impact program, as well as keynotes and panel discussions with experts in the fields of First Nations arts, health, and wellbeing.

We will also share the outcomes from our research project The Score: Participatory theatre for sexual health education in First Nations communities (funded by AIATSIS Indigenous Research Exchange).

Live Theatre with Q&A:
THE SCORE - Performance and workshop program for young people addressing positive sexual health and relationships.

GOODBYE AUNTY FLO - A hilarious play created by mob for mob, exploring the ups and downs of the most natural stage of anyone who bleeds life - menopause.
